Welcome to MIAB first edition for 2022.
So much has happened since our last edition it is impossible to put it all on the parchment and expect it to be a light and easy read!! Not gonna happen altho there are some mighty fine achievements that really should
be noted ..
Lodswe gets the GoodFelluhAward for the 5th time.. what a sport!! Congrats. Must mention here CDV ofc holds 9 Helper Awards .. so Lodswe is right in your slipstream!! Congrats to both.
Capt da Vinci has been very active again lately ranking up in a number of countries. MIAB reporter completely forgot about the CONGRATS CDV stamp in the drawer of her desk. Had to scrabble through a lot of stuff to find it but find it we did!!

On the subject of CDV- also a tip of the tricorn to you, Sir for ranking up in 11+ minutes.Admiral madiha let it be known to all she made a 'trick' and it 'worked'.. but was mute on any more detail - Will be great to see the Admiral in action and maybe bust that 11 minutes ??

Amazing.
Avonmoras favourite skirmish king, SilverShadow hits 30k total battles .. and Teach strong 25k not too far behind ..
Supreme LeaderJuicyP -(now there's a scallywag), does his thing for 20 thousand Total Battles on day 3394... another great achievement!
(For those who don't know, you can always go back over the 'Global Events' on the Tavern page and check it out for yourself.. the recent history of events right there!)
Seeing newer players get their battles on ..namely GriffnAshe, seasandgreetings, Blunt, hamad_r, Ravanna and aabid ..warms a pirate heart .. and there be so many here!
Special salute to Clyde and Meyd - definitely showing some form and lots of activity .. and of course Thoma... HenryAvery who does his best - Keep your eyes on the forums as we continue comps for old and new players alike!
and ... ofc congrats again to all ye winners and participants of MIABs Christmas meme comp giving newer players a boost ... thanks to the community and the vets for helping out and your generous donations too!
Speaking of donations.. Fantasy Draft Donations are over 2 Billion already .. Catch up on all the draft news in Dez article on page 4.
A big congratulations to Leo the Conqueror who hit the high seas Achievement board with 5000 Battles Won -
( if you be really stiill and quiet and listen you can hear it .. the thunder... the gentle rumble a little distant but its definitely there)!

Altho the MIAB reporter present at this announcement noted Leo stuck out his tongue at DezNuts and made the old "nah-nah-nanah-nah' which kind of took the celebrations a little off track but too much rum was too much rum and was consumed in the tavern that night and in the end nobody cared.
5000 Total Battles for MyCrows who added 1000 battles won to his register also.. along with Captain Krusty and Doot Skelly also hitting those milestones - Well done! Arrgh! Very shady indeed
One day the noobs will be the vets and the vets will be nothing but mere skeletons and tall stories!
A new year - a new page, as the saying goes!! A great time to let bygones be just that and give ourselves and the game we love(d) a fresh start ...
I mean, It's February - it's the month for LURVE... after all!

MIAB notes great interest in all the port changes of late. Lots of black death showering Midway, we hear not much room left in the cemetery and are considering other options .. The king did not reveal too much more and this reporter felt it best left at that...
USVI and Channel Island. We have been informed there is some voodoo activity in the USA going on , restless natives too, disease and confused fugitives on the run on but strangely little to no reports on Tokelau nor Bermuda.. altho the sloop master manages to stay visible and of course that salty old Jack No 7 and crew keep Bermudas presence known..
MIAB hears Canada also may be having some troublesome times getting started - altho Stan the Man has A Plan we are told.
Rumour has it Clockwork is responsible for much of this plague in Canada or was it USVI or Channel.. or ....
We can truthfully report he made a public announcement denying these claims in the forums and was swiftly removed from the premises only to encounter a bit of resistance in the new environment of UoH… Now we all know Clockwork, would definitely own up to it if he did it, no?
- .. Regardless, three new nations on the map is good to see even if they are a tad ravaged.
xPro reports he has great hopes for USVI .. Rolling out the welcoming mat has seen things a little quiet so far.. He told our reporter he is patient and confident things will pick up ...... unless .... it doesn't ...
Canada has also joined the league of new nations, taking Gasp and putting a pretty red maple leaf on the map as first noted by the Conqueror. Nice. We caught up with the newest Avonmora King for a chat . Read all about it just ahead!
