Generally, every forum has a small description that helps you understand what kind of topics are expected there. Here are a few guidelines specifically for Game Development forums.
General
-Always post on topic.
-Avoid ANY flaming.
Announcements
-Unfitting replies are deleted/moved without notice
Bugs
-Only post when you are certain of something.
-If you are uncertain, post in HELP instead.
We will move a topic from Help to bugs if it proves to be the case.
Suggestions
-Checking up for an existing idea, helps. If your idea is similar to an existing one, a link towards it in your topic, helps.
-Request merging of topics from a mod via PM is a good idea.
-If an idea has been rejected before, use the rejected topic.
-Prefer to post ideas with as many details as possible. If you are lacking elements, use General Discussion instead.
General Discussion
-Only talk about the game. If you want to speak about other things, check the threads of the community section.
