Not sure how this is even possible.

Image

In case the image disappears that's the Treasury of Poland and shows a -529550 gc balance. How does the game allow a negative balance.

Stupid guess but did someone take every last cent and then owe money by turning off auto payments or something? I mean like to go pirate?

That wouldn't cause a negative. That would be debt. Negative implies payouts that exceeded available funds. That shouldn't happen.

I agree, this should not be possible. It seems like a bug.

What does the treasury log say? Perhaps it can give you a clue as to how this happened?

Oh Dez you totally missed it when Willie was able to make JB Governor of all ports in USVI and a few in Bermuda. That is in another bug topic but JB unticked the save gov preference to fix the issue.

The log is all but useless for a monetary transaction log. As it lacks valuable information such as ending balance. Might as well be the super thin sandpaper :?: toilet paper you find in cheap gas station bathrooms.

9 total entries that date back to 2018.

1 payout of ~4.7M (most recent transaction)
7 stipend payouts of 5M each
1 deportation

The payout nor the stipend should cause a negative balance

My assumption is that the payout request was submitted when there was adequate funds and stipends reduced the funds below the amount in the payout. Assuming that the system doesn't check balance at time of payout and only when the request is made, thus once payout was approved (vote ended). It just paid the total ignoring the fact that there was insufficient funds.

Apologies for rough explanation and crappy writing. I'm stuck using my cellphone for the time being to play. Trying to edit is a nuisance

Could you even? I thought there was a maximum you can withdraw which takes the daily stipends, taxes, etc. into account.

CJ changed the payout system at one point. Used to be able to take out more.

Payout votes can take upwards of 72 hours.

There were atleast two 5M stipend payouts that occured prior to the payout approval.

Oh did you also know that the clock is off by a few seconds..I mean I think it has been a slow constant. I know that is irrelevant to this issue but..the ship is malfunctioning captain.

I guess you are right in your assumptions, Dez. It sounds likely that a payot vote started when there were adequate funds, and then stipends reduced the treasury. And then the payout happened anyway.

I wonder if it is still possible to do this. It's a bit tricky to test.
