Would if people in pglory could actually take a loan of gold in order to pay back it would take $$ from daily upkeep simply a slot that says
Loan-$20000
a loan system could help everyone in this game out of struggles and with the daily upkeep payment system theres no avoiding paying it back
Loan Shark System
A second option of loan money when a player chooses this option they can borrow as much as they want but they must make the payments on there own and if they dont MOW fleets should be sent after them after about a month or so
*Both loan systems should include Interest

it is actually called spending turns for gold working as a porter. This system should be updated so that as a player gets bigger they should get relatively more working as a porter. That way this system isn't just for struggling new players who some don't know it exist because its not in the tutorials, correct me if im wrong.

"In finance, a loan is a debt evidenced by a note which specifies, among other things, the principal amount, interest rate, and date of repayment. A loan entails the reallocation of the subject asset(s) for a period of time, between the lender and the borrower.
In a loan, the borrower initially receives or borrows an amount of money, called the principal, from the lender, and is obligated to pay back or repay an equal amount of money to the lender at a later time. Typically, the money is paid back in regular installments, or partial repayments; in an annuity, each installment is the same amount.
The loan is generally provided at a cost, referred to as interest on the debt, which provides an incentive for the lender to engage in the loan. In a legal loan, each of these obligations and restrictions is enforced by contract, which can also place the borrower under additional restrictions known as loan covenants. Although this article focuses on monetary loans, in practice any material object might be lent.
Acting as a provider of loans is one of the principal tasks for financial institutions. For other institutions, issuing of debt contracts such as bonds is a typical source of funding.

I can't wait for banks to be implemented. It will be very interesting to see what happens.

I like the idea of Loans. It will be useful for players with low money and need some to buy material and/or ships.

To add on to this the ships sent should be money amount specific, like depending on the amount you borrowed equals a different type of ship sent after you, because obviously if you take say 500 gold they're not going to say "Oh my lord they haven't paid back their due 500 gold, I'm going to Send 5 MOW's after that bloody pirate!!" It makes more sense for them to send some Sloops after you for that amount, am i right or wrong on this idea?
Also it should be port/nation specific, on the ships sent after you. Like if you take a loan out( or borrow money) in a Wales port Wales SOW, Brigs, BOW, etc, from that nation are sent after you and it declares you at 400 hostility with that nation if you don't pay it back by a specific deadline, or make regular payments.
