[Deprecated] Forthcoming Updates

Here is our current priority list. This list has been reluctantly released and it only lists big features planning.

1)Ship Specialization
We will go with what we have on the table right now. Feel free to participate on the discussion there. This will take the game to version 1.9
Since this is a core feature of the game, we will continue improving ship specialization with expansions in the future, to fit in all the rest ideas we have.

*2)IC Extension
This is an old idea. We want a new dimension for our 2.0 game version though. It is a feature that will also allow us to build on it.
In a few words, with this feature, your character will be placed in the map as an entity and it will be given options of things to do.

3)Nation Diplomacy
Yet another expansion for Nations core feature. This expansion will be big and it will move the game to 2.1

4)Witch Hut
A hideout building. It will expand the game to 2.2
It will incorporate recipes for existing features. New recipes will be added consistently to keep up with the new features.

5)Port Buildings
A core feature. It will be gigantic. You can see some of the ideas already at the forums but a big part of it is unknown. Probably the feature will be named Ports and port buildings will be a part of it. It will take the game to 2.3

Port Blockade/Wars (popular demand) should come afterwards and Foot Battles should be in game version 3.0. It makes more sense to have port battles implemented after Ports feature, in order to give defense options to ports.

Other important aspects affecting this schedule:
-Newcomer buffs
We already have a list of ideas. From newcomer mission tweaks, changes,additions to whole features. These are going to implemented at some point.
-New skin
The game skin needs to be redesigned. This needs to happen soon and at worse it should be implemented before Port Buildings.

I want to say that there are currently many more worthy ideas already in the table that have either been approved or are worthy to be approved. We believe that implementing these ideas is in the game best interests. Therefore, we want to work as hard as possible to deliver these features as fast as possible,in order to focus to the rest of the ideas.

Thanks for the info! This means the first two points are the ones worth discussing now, I guess.

I also noticed that a voodoo card exchange was not mentioned - that can only mean it is considered too small an implementation to be worth mentioning here, of course..

CJ! You guys have been cranking out some great updates. Thank you for that.

My question is... do you have a list of what is left of "Approved" items you are working on. Just curious as to how much more we can look forward to. And of course that will then lead to, once done with these "approved" items the next big game update of "Ship Specialization"

Well, development plans change daily. Our guide so far has been the approved suggestions thread. Most important ones have been added. There are more that are worthy to be developed now but I cannot tell for sure if we will bother with more of them right now. This is a decision we will take tomorrow morning.

Right now, the Ship Specialization feature, although announced here is not definitely our next big feature. For example, your guilds raid idea, might come before it as guilds is something we want to support (we will study it tomorrow, so if you got any refinements ready, this is the best time to do them; summarize them at first post).

If your idea is not good enough for immediate implementation, we will seek similar open suggestions. While we are searching the player suggestions, we will approve anything interesting. If we find nothing interesting enough, we will move with Ship Specialization.

The sequence posted in this thread is very important though. Some things are chained to each other and cannot proceed first.
