Before I create the poll for this, since I'm not a merchant I don't know the best merchants. I know the best people to plunder but I think part of being a merchant is also the safety of the fleet, which means a good merchant is the one who is the least plunderable. Anyway, post your nominations for the best merchant here so I can put it in the poll!

1)The merchant must currently be a merchant and active. (This immediately eliminates ZJ)
2)You can't nominate yourself unless for some super amazing reason besides your awesomeness.

Captain Dungeness
- Finds the best route(or some of the) every update
- Largest fleet
- Dominated the Fame board for months

Sir Henry Morgan
- Large fleet
- Protected fleet

I believe Captain Redbone (SHM) has the toughest trade fleet Avonmora has ever seen.

Would one of you older players be nice enough to clear something up for me? You all remember my merchant fleet. Has anyone else in the history of the game ever had a fleet as large?

More importantly i put that fleet together in 6 months and without buying it with cash money.

i dont need to be "voted" as anything. when Capt D and/or Capt DV get about 60 more ships together. then they and i can compare notes about the merchant side of this game and whether or not any particular quality or quantity of ships qualifies one player as "best"

since everyone seems to have brought up Captain Redbone, the trade fleet full of lvl 10 SotLs was a sight to behold... very neato indeed

That would get in the way of him bragging Spastic. I would imagine he reads as little as possible.

Dungeness and Redbone. also shaydo cause he have the best calculator in my opinion and that is a plus mine is too simple

meh, roi's been wrong before. this is just one of those times. anyhow. u are one of those long-timers. by any chance is there anyone in the history of the game who managed a larger fleet?

while we're at it, why on earth would i respect a poll that specifies that myself exclusively is the only one not eligible for the no-prize offered by the thread. that's just dumb....
