Vune shakes her head slightly annoyed

Jack, what part of I left this to the other mages did you not understand? I have absolutely no personal interest in this matter-my subordinates told me the basics, and i told them i didn't care enough to learn more. Petty squabbles like this happen all the time, and so i leave petty matters like this to lesser mages to handle-I have bigger fish to fry then a small port war.

She thinks for a moment before saying one final thing.

The only other thing i can tell you is that from the report i was given, is that it's strictly a port war-the nations that own the port have nothing to do with it. Apparently there's bad blood between a few ports. But other then that i have no other information on this matter. Ask Emily when you return. She should know more.

[Jack Teach]

They continue to rest for a couple of days, then they begin repairs on the ship and prepare to head out to sea.

[Meliva]

Vune drops the barrier and lets them out, resealing it afterward. She sits on a crow's nest with Zephyra as she shouts to Jack

3 days of sailing at a moderate breeze and we should arrive. Just keep an eye out for a very large land mass, with several mountains on it. It's a very big place, you can't miss it.

[Jack Teach]

Jack looks upward

The ship sails for three days until it reaches the island.

As the ships approach an old dilapited dock, they notice what look like people moving about in it, this causes Vune to look very confused as Zephyra whispers to her.

I thought you said this island was full of nothing but abominations and a dragon.

She whispers back

Well i been gone for a couple hundred years, but it still doesn't make sense-the abominations on here should have killed anyone stupid enough to try to settle it.

She shouts to Jack

Be on your guard. Ill go meet with them first, if they seem friendly ill wave you over.

She teleports over and approaches the figures. Brian and Carl wait while they talk to Jack

Maybe some natives cleared the island of the monsters. This could be good i think.

[Jack Teach]

Jack nods wearily

It could be. But I want all ships to prepare just in case.

The signals are sent around and the fleet is ready for trouble

[Meliva]

Vune waves the group to come, as she goes back to Jack.

None of them are people-its all just golems going about making repairs. But these are very old inefficient ones that were left here ages ago-they shouldn't be active, so someone must have restarted them. I think a mage might have taken residence here. Just don't attack the golems and they won't bother us. The dock is one of the safer areas-a pretty good wall surrounds it that keeps most of the local beasts out.

[Jack Teach]

Jack orders that a detachment of men come from each ship on shore. Jack steps on shore with his men.

As they begin walking into the dock area a earth shattering roar is heard as a massive dragon comes flying down to them. It lands nearby and looks to them as Vune steps forward and shouts to it.

Hey there Kortar, no need to be alarmed, it's just me and some friends come to check out some things.

Kortar looks down at the group and simply nods

I see. Have you come to pick up that mage you sent? I find him very annoying.

Vune shakes her head

Never sent a mage here. He's lying. Can you tell me where he's at? Also, are the abominations still here?

The dragon looks to the northeast.

Yes, they are. In fact their numbers have grown at an alarming rate, and are becoming larger and more dangerous. I blame the mage. He has taken up residence at the lab in the northeast mountain. Is there anything else you wish to know or ask of me? I have not forgotten my debt after all.

Vune shakes her head and nods to Jack

You got anything you wanna ask Jack?
