Meanwhile, jack and his men stumble on a hundred more soldiers guarding the place. They get one volley off before they're butchered, the last man does with his head cracked open by Jack's cutlass. Some of his men check the governor and his family as they stand outside, taking anything and everything they can find. The noblewoman look especially terrified, looking on in horror at jack, who continually assures them that they are not in danger.

Eventually the brig is fully loaded with loot, as the guards who howard roped into carrying more of it ask what to do now. Howard shouts to start loading into other ships. He takes a small chest and loads it with gold and shoves it into a nearby corner.

That be your payment for your labor. Split it evenly with the rest of the guard. Or don't honestly I can't stop ya if you wanna hog it. George, get all our men and begin preparing to set sail to the nearest pirate haven. We can not carry any more loot in our brig. Not unless some of you men wanna swim?

His crew laugh as they begin preparing to set sail. He shouts to one of Jack's men nearby.

Tell your captain I will wait for him at the nearest pirate haven. If he don't show up within a week, ill assume he died and keep the loot for myself.

The brig begins to sail away, keeping an eye out for any enemy ships, but finds none as it sails safely away to the nearest haven.

Jack and his men sail off, their ship so filled with valuables that some large objects hang from the rigging. There are still some enemies left (jack left them for whitebeard) and a good amount gold that Jack's men couldn't fit.

Whitebeard's fleet moves into position toward the fort. The Sloops of War move in close and lay down several volleys against the fort, while the Heavy Frigate fires precise cannon fire on the emplacements. The battle is very short lived, as the forts ability to return fire was quickly decimated. Whitebeard moves his Heavy Frigate and cutter into the harbor area and dispatches his raiding party. The 2 Sloops of War remain near the fort.

The raiding party meets very little resistance and quickly loads up supplies, materials, and fine furnishing and goods that most pirates overlook.

Whitebeard watches from aboard the Heavy Frigate. As the raiding team finishes loading up the cargo, Whitebeard turns to his 1st mate.

Whitebeard:
Raise the signal flag and prepare our final volley.

A black flag containing a red skull is hoisted. The raiding party moves quickly and sets fire to the harbormaster's building and any harbor warehouse.
The party moves to the main dock and sets up some explosive and then departs. As the ships set to move out of the harbor, the heavy frigate fires a single cannon at the explosives, causing the main docks to explode. The main dock is all but destroyed severally diminishing port capabilities. After a few moments, the heavy frigate unleashes a massive volley into the port. Cannonballs and explosive shells land throughout the port causing large amounts of damage.

Whitebeard's fleet regroups and sets course to Tortuga.

Howard and George are in the tavern waiting, having counted the loot they had on the brig on the way back. Both look somewhat upset, as they heard rumors that after they left the port was burned and bombed. The 2 are discussing it with eachother, George says in an upset voice to Howard

This is exactly why i keep telling you we shouldn't go around joining other pirate crews for raids-you never know what they might do while we ain't looking-now we might be guilty by affiliation and the authorities think we helped in burning and bombing the port. Wonder which captain did it. Hell maybe they all did. If we hadn't promised to divide the loot evenly id recommend we just take the loot we stole and keep it.

Howard sighs

Well, could be worse. If nothing else we looted enough we won't be needing to steal or rob anyone for ages.
